Create Wi-Fi Hotspots with your Phones



Tech firm Palm has announced an upgraded version of its Pre and Pixi smart phones that can add video recording and has the capability to create 3G mobile Wi-Fi hotspots for your laptops and other mobile devices. This Pre Plus and Pixi Plus will only be available on Verizon's wireless network.

The prices of the phones has not been announced yet. These phones have some significant features like they can create Wi-Fi hotspot, has an app that can run on Palm's web operating system and which can download a part of Verizon data plan. The application will give you an option of creating a personal Wi-Fi cloud which will share Verizon's 3G network up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

The Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus mobile phones will be the first in the world to offer this capability. These new phones will allow you to record videos and e-mail or you can even upload them immediately to social networking sites. The phones also have a Flash 10 browser plug-in which will allow you to play movie trailers on Yahoo's site.

Palm has also introduced its Pre phone, which with a range of exciting features. From now you will be able to create your own Wi-Fi hotspot with your Palm Pre and Pixi smart phones.
