Know Your Printers Better

When you try to define a Printer, you can say it is a peripheral which produces a permanent readable text and graphics (hard copy) of documents stored in electronic form, usually on physical print media. A few modern Printers can directly interface with the electronic media. Some Printers are combined with a scanner and/or fax machine in a single unit, and can even function as photocopiers. These two Printers are most commonly used.

• Laser printer- It is a toner-based Laser Printer which uses precision laser to cause toner observance. Laser printers are popular for its high quality prints, good printing speed and low cost per copy. They are the most common Printers that are used for many general-purpose office applications, but not as common as consumer Printers due to its high initial cost. Laser Printers are available in both color and monochrome varieties. Another toner based Printer is LED printer which uses an array of LEDs instead of laser to cause toner adhesion to the print drum.

• Liquid inkjet printers- Inkjet printers operate by mobilizing variable size of liquid droplets or molten material (ink) onto any sized page. They are the most common type of computer printers that are used by the general consumers.
These are the two most common types of Printers that are mainly used for your offices or homes.
