Watch TV On Your Computer Gladly

A new service has been launched where you can see live TV by streaming it to your desktop. IwanTV will allow you to do it with its new and superior technology. But you need Windows XP for this.

BayanDSL and SkyBroadband are offering a free registration when you subscribe with them. You just need your BayanDSL or SkyBroadband account number when you register yourself.

If you are a Windows XP user, then you will have no problem in running the video on your browser. If you are a Mac or Linux user, then you are on your own. There is no documentation as how you can run it on non-Windows XP platform.
If you are a Mac user, then you have an option. You can at first download Perian which is a free plug-in, that can allow you to play Windows Media formatted videos and audios. Just you have to download, install and then play.

Linux users need a little modification before you can play the videos on IWanTV. By using the built-in plug-in search option, you will return nothing. You just need an access to the terminal or console. Once your terminal/console starts running, just enter your admin password and Linux will do the rest.

Once you have finished, re-run Firefox and you get to see a live streaming video feed from the four channels. So, if you are a BayanDSL and SkyBroadband subscriber, just proceed to the website and register. It will take a couple of minutes to get your account activated and then you can just sit and enjoy.
