Wi-Fi For the Courtrooms

From now San Diego Superior Court will have Wireless Internet that is Wi-Fi access in its court’s jury lounge without any charge. The San Diego Superior Court has implemented a new program to enhance the experience of jury service.

Citizen Participation is a main course of a judicial system. It is very important to make that participation as good as possible. Jurors are bringing their laptops or other portable devices to the court and they are asking for access to Internet while they are waiting to serve on a jury. Therefore, this good news of providing them with Wi-Fi will meet their specific demands.

Court staffs have created Wi-Fi Hot Spots at four Superior Court’s jury lounges that are located in downtown San Diego, Chula Vista, El Cajon and Vista. Jurors with a valid juror badge number and court also provided password with which one can launch Internet access.

By providing Wi-Fi, jurors can access their email, complete their written work or they can even conduct online research while they are waiting for their turn to be called to the courtroom.
